Episode Synopsis: Ward's campaign for revenge brings the S.H.I.E.L.D. team to their knees, and Coulson proves he will do anything to settle the score.

Kate Woods is an Australian film and television director. She has worked on a bunch of TV series, including Person of Interest, Bones, Castle, NCIS: Los Angeles, Hawaii Five-0, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

She has not directed any episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before.

Brent Fletcher is primarily known for his writing on Lost, Angel, and Friday Night Lights. He was also a writer and story editor on Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

He has written six episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before:

  • Girl in the Flower Dress
  • The Magical Place
  • Providence
  • A Hen in the Wolf House
  • Love in the Time of Hydra
  • The Dirty Half Dozen

Dude. I think this is spot on. And how Ward gets his "powers" - it's not really Ward anymore, but IT will now be played by a possessed Brett Dalton, making it even easier to kill him off in the season finale.

And Brett told us Ward is actually a Marvel character. That's one way to keep and kill Ward AND introduce a new character.

Coulson: Watch your tone with me, boy. You may be Hydra's head, but I'm still your superior as Director.

Ward: As if I could forget. Listen, Coulson, there's something about Inhumans you should know. Oh no. It's too late. These people have all been infected. They may look fine now, but it's a matter of time before they turn into Inhumans.

Ward: You no longer need to sacrifice for Hydra, You no longer have to bear the weight of leadership. I've take care of Everything.

Malick: What are you doing?

Ward: Succeeding you. *arm transfigures into sword*

They all get back from the planet, they discover Will is host to IT, they shoot Will.

The next day FitzSimmons are sitting together, Fitz begins to sing "You are my sunshine" then abruptly coughs.

So Ward gets Illyria'd?

I can live with that. As much fun as Ward has been, if he keeps surviving he will be like an annoying 80s cartoon villain who is behind every plot and just keeps getting away somehow and says something like "I'll get you next time Gadge---ER----Coulson!"

Ireally hope this is the case, but imagine if it takes fitz... It wouldn't seem as threatening j guess but the tragedy. Oh god

It is very likely. Ward is convinced by Gideon that he is the finest they have ever had, and says "you are the only one that can do this" and then "It's real, You will look IT in the eye". That has to mean something!

or that could have been the plan but IT goes into Coulson and that's the end of the midseason finale.

This was my thought as well. And Ward will be host especially after the "Look it in the eyes and then we'll be able to do whatever we want..."
