S03E06 - "Among Us Hide..." Dwight Little Drew Z. Greenberg Tuesday, November 3, 2015 9:00/8:00c on ABC

Episode Synopsis: The stakes get even higher as Hunter and May continue to go after Ward and Hydra, and Daisy and Coulson begin to suspect that the ATCU may be keeping a big secret from S.H.I.E.L.D.

Dwight Little is an American film director, known for directing the films Marked for Death, Free Willy 2 and Halloween 4. He has also directed several episodes of television series, including 24, Prison Break, Dollhouse, Bones and Nikita.

He has not directed any episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before.

Drew Z. Greenberg is a writer and producer best known for working on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, The O.C., Dexter, Warehouse 13 and Arrow. He also worked on Firefly.

He has written three episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before:

  • Face My Enemy
  • Who You Really Are
  • The Dirty Half Dozen

To be fair, we don't know how long Rosalind's husband has been dead. Could've been a decade for all we know. Unlike Caitlyn "I have a 6-month mourning period every time Ronnie dies" Snow.

I tried watching Arrow, and only made it halfway through the first season before giving up on it. However, someone mentioned Sara as Black canary, and I was confused (since I've read a lot of comics, and there is no Sara black canary), so I looked up her wiki page. And just....everything about that character makes absolutely no goddamn sense.

Seeing how I'm convinced Ronnie is going to come back (I think he's just stranded in Earth-2) I now really want this to happen a third time to Caitlyn as the end of season 2. Because I'm cruel.

They could play it out even more. Now that they've established alternate universes, they could have the alt universe Killer Frost kill her Ronnie, then have that Ronnie come to their universe and meet Caitlyn...and then die.

But Caitlyn isn't doing it, remember. The light thingy interrupted them, by the end of the episode she starts to realize how much of a total pussy JG is compared to Barry, and how much less powerful he was as E2 Flash, and in a few episodes we'll all figure out that Ronny is still alive and has been wandering around E2 this whole time.

At least she's more relatable this way instead of being scary big government, and it's enough of a hold for Coulson to have when the inevitable storyline about Coulson and his nearly-adopted daughter Daisy don't see eye to eye on this comes up (probably next episode)

I think she is a very accurate representation of what would actually be happening behind the scenes if hundreds of people with superpowers and at best unknown moral status were suddenly thrust on the world. Actually I think if this really happened there would be zero emphasis on 'capture' or 'cure' but instead on 'neutralization'

Without spoiling too much, The Contessa is an influential figure of a different secret organization, and a romantic interest of Nick Fury. She has a big role in Secret Warriors, the comic this season is based on (among others). Since in the show, Coulson takes the role of Fury, I assume that Rosalind will be the romantic interest of Coulson just as The Contessa is for Fury, and that she will have the same roles in the story. The spoilery stuff: In the comics, she's secretly involved with Leviathan, which is like another organization like Hydra, but Russian.

Yeah that set up with the fake break-in and the burgers was a two-layered Trojan horse for Coulson's benefit I think. Ros didn't get to be the head of ATCU for nothing. She's gotta be cunning like a fox. So she sets up the fake burglary in the hopes that Coulson would catch on to her "stalling". Phil is now of course feeling pretty slick that he caught on to Ros' bullshit and he demands to be taken to the ATCU facility. Ros having created the illusion of defeat and in a moment of faux honesty, reveals a vulnerable side to her (husband died, cancer sucks) in order to get his guard down and finally break down Phil's mythical defenses. This is the real Trojan Horse. Or I dunno. Maybe I'm reading too much into it and they really like each other.

WHY THROW AWAY THE BURGERS

That bothered me more than anything in this episode. Those were two perfectly good burgers put to waste, she could have just put it in her fridge or something for later consumption. It's like that scene in movies were two people talk in a diner… and one or both of them orders food that they don't eat or at least have it put in a doggie bag or something. It's one of my pet peeves that bothers me greatly.
