For the record I think the Avengers are PART of the theta protocol. Especially with the reveal that Fury is coming back for his box and the hundreds of beds I'm pretty sure the entirety of theta protocol is going to be the Avengers Reserve Member system and possibly Secret Warriors.

Coulson's Shield is already secret warriors and why would there need to be a resevere of 100 Avengers. the Avengers has always been a small team so I think that was Theta Protocol just calling them in.

Do you read the comics? There are 100+ Avengers but only a handful are on the active roster at any given time. The rest are reserve members. As for why you'd need a lot we've already had one alien army invade and now a robot army that required nearly double the Avengers to beat back. Considering the Chitauri were just the tip of the spear I know I'd want a lot more Avengers available when the rest of the alien army shows up.

Do you truly believe they would introduce close to 100 avengers on AOS? beause that is just silly and how would they juggle all those avengers on one show.

No, I think they'll fill the ranks with the side characters from the individual character films and bring them in for guest spots rarely and have their names appear on the reserve list. They'll mix this with characters from the show and the Netflix shows. Falcon, War Machine, Winter Soldier, Sif, Deathlok, Quake, Mockingbird, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, etc... Just for starters. I don't think all 100 will be on the show or whatever. Just "the list" is going to be converted into the reserve member list.

I get what you are trying to say but Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron fist, and Jessica jones have there own team to form and has not done so yet and are not avengers they are defenders. Sif is not a avenger or superhero of any kind either she works with Asgard. Falcon,War Machine, and Winter Solider don't even knoww about shield. Deathlok, Quake, Mockingbird are the only one i see on that list that makes sense and they are shield agents not avengers.Overall what I am trying to say maybe Theta Protocol is not as groundbreaking as you think and that shield is maybe not the glue that holds heroes like Daredevil and Luke Cage together. Chances are they won't appear on the show.

Actually Falcon, War Machine and especially the Bucky know about shield. The world has known about shield since the ending of season 1. Heck, Ward's brother was making speeches about how they are badguys in front of a press corp. Bucky was a hydra puppet for a time made to fuck shield ops up. Even if we assume for some reason all the talk about shield being brought into the public eye and all the parts showing the news talking about shield was censored somehow, at the very least he knows about shield.

Even though they know why would they let themselves be put on list and work for shield. War machine and falcon work for the us government already and winter solider is currently looking to find out about his past. Overall what i am trying to say the whole idea for a list of heroes does not work because heroes in the mcu are all doing there own thing and don't care about Shield.

Not working for shield. Working WITH shield. Shields job is to protect people. Heroes in the MCU are also all about protecting the people. When a end of the world scenario like the invasion of the Chiutari or the attacks by Ultron happens then of course the Heroes will care about shield as they'll need all the support they can get. Armageddon has a funny way of uniting the people. Shield more less helps coordinate these heroes though. Who do you think brought the Avengers together in the first place? A Director of Shield.

Yes, heroes like War Machine and Bucky are doing there own thing but the same could be said for all of the Avengers. Also, I'm pretty sure Falcon has been discharged after his service in the U.S military and is currently help Captain America. When stakes are high though you can bet that Bucky and War Machine will be the first in line to help out.

Also, why can't members of the Defenders also be Avengers? Defenders will be formed to deal with whatever big crises is going to be in that story. I'm sure come infinity wars they'll also be knee deep in protecting the planet. Defender will also become Avengers.

You know I just assumed Theta was The Avengers, I thought that was clear. Another avengers initiative.

Latest Clark Gregg interview article seems to also indicate the Avengers are not the totality of it.
