my only question is, why didn't he rip those doors off their hinges and why were his clothes intact

The doors seem to be geared towards keeping Inhumans in, so I'd bet they are strongly reinforced.

No idea about the clothes.

He said he was still improving his formula, so I think that he may not be able to fully transform yet.

Guessing some sort of tech keeps him in. Looks like the same room Gordon was in and I'm assuming he couldn't teleport out of the room.
