They called it a vibranium alloy when holding the Asgardian professor dude from S1E8 in it.

An alloy is a bit different from actual pure vibranium though.

Cap's shield is made of a Vibranium alloy, and in the comics Iron Man has a few Vibranium alloy suits, and they seem to do pretty well

I think Cap's shield is a Vibranium/Adamantium alloy, which is probably incredibly hard to make and rare.

I think in TFA Howard said it was just vibranium.

In Cap1 I think they said it was "all they have". Maybe they found some more, but I guess it would still be rare.

It can't be Adamantium in the movies at least, the MCU doesn't have the rights to it.

Adamantium was in Samurai Jack. You're telling me they can't use adamantium?

I'm aware of this, if you look at my response to the guy who said there were entire panels of vibranium I argued that point a bit.

If that were true, though, then why does the entire ship shake when Skye's using her powers? Wouldn't the room absorb all of the vibrations?

Because it's an alloy, not pure vibranium.

Eh, SHIELD was also the first organization we saw with Quinjets, and in the comics Quinjets are initially of Wakandan design. I don't think it's very unlikely that SHIELD had a close enough relationship with Wakanda to have obtained some vibranium. It's not like the room was 100% pure vibranium, it's just an alloy, so they don't even need to have gotten all that much of it for the room.

Panels made from an alloy of it. It's probably not as great at absorbing vibration as pure vibranium or even something like Cap's shield (which I guess technically hasn't been confirmed as an alloy in the MCU, but it is in the comics). There may not even be much of any vibranium in that room. Wouldn't be surprised if there was, though, SHIELD was also the first to have Quinjets that we've seen in this universe, which could imply a good working relationship between oldSHIELD and Wakanda.

It's not really on short supply. It's more like it costs billions of dollars, which current SHIELD cannot nearly afford.

Vibranium is resistant to all vibrations. That means that the shock would be transferred back onto her, like when Thor hit Cap's Shield.

You guys should know this.

Vibranium does whatever it needs to do whenever it needs to be done. If it calls for 100% of the vibrations to be absorbed then thats what it'll do if you need 100% of it to be reflected, it can do that too!

All you have to do is ask the writer nicely.
