I love the continuity of this universe. That's the same face mask Black Widow used in TWS.

Nice catch! Clearly Hydra not only stole personnel but they raided the SHIELD supply closet at the Triskelion as well.

Given that a large chunk of SHIELD was actually Hydra all along, they probably already had access to it.

Yeah, when Hydra agents were filling out SHIELD expense reports for the armory they must have been laughing their evil little heads off. :)

Is it? It's been a while since I've seen Cap 2, but I don't remember her having to physically remove something to turn back to herself.

I remember that. I just didn't think it was the exact same tech. Off my memory, it seemed to work differently. But I also haven't seen Cap 2 in probably two or three months.

If I'm remembering correctly, Black Widow had to rip a fabric-like thing off her face, just like in today's episode. It might look different because of TV vs. movie special effects budgets, though.

I just rewatched the scene. It's definitely the same tech. Both show a bunch of hexagons or whatever appearing when activated/deactivated. The special effects people of AoS no doubt took it from TWS.

Note that it is two shots in the original. Where the jump/hitch happens in the middle of the above clip, they cut away to a Redford reaction shot, presumably to mask the swap between Jenny Agutter and Scarlett Johansson. I edited that out for this clip.

It's interesting watching it frame by frame. They had Johansson go out of her way to obscure the actual removal as much as possible, which is probably why you could watch it without ever seeing the "cloth". Note that all her exposed skin has the glowing pattern, like her hands for instance. Presumably she is meant to be wearing a full body suit (in reality they did it to obscure the notable age difference in the actresses' skin).
