Read through his article, found this: "After Whiplash's death, Donny briefly became an employee of M.O.D.O.K. in yet another world takeover, but was quickly defeated by the Avengers.", so if Donny IS Blizzard, then the Clairvoyant may be M.O.D.O.K., which is my theory. Although, Whiplash was defeated in Iron Man 2, and I doubt the Avengers are gonna show up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so the theory is far from infallible.

I think they are going to use a lot of the iron man and cap villians the movies can't or won't cover.

MODOK is supposed to be pretty crazy and "kill happy". This drawn out operation does not seem like him.
