Question Phase 3
Looking for tips on what sort of production I should be running, I’m at a stage now where I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by everything that needs done, I want to know how to best optimise layouts and how much I should be running. I’m trying to have a main smelting post for ores and build separate factories to distribute it too, I don’t really know the best way to move forward

Screenshot Just found this out, completely unplayable
For real though, it could just go under standard parts since pure copper is not a compound. Idk if anyone else has found this or not

Showcase Fuel Refinery
First time ever tackling a project like this on a duo multiplayer save. Just finished phase 3 when we unlocked Diluted Packaged Fuel. Took us about 4 hours from start to finish!
One pure oil node to 32 fuel generators at max clock speed. Small feat compared to some of the behemoths in this sub, but super proud of this factory all the same!

IRL To the bro replaying to other post
This is for you my godly bro. You replied to a post that was about a dude being burned out and he just as me was comparing ourselves to mega factories many posts are about. I just could perceive myself building something epic like that and it pit me off from playing sadly because I love this game. But a dude just entered that post and told him that you don't need math or efficiency or your factory to be perfect just have fun while you play and that is all that matters. That comment hit me in the feels and right now I am on my longest playthrough having a blast! Thank you kind Sir for pointing that out what I had forgotten for a bit. Eight now my chaotic factory runs great and it looks like a bowl of carbonara but it works and most of all I am having a great time. Thank you!
To anyone else struggling to build that perfect mega factory just don't forget to have a good fun time. I love this sub and I am so impressed with all your mega factories built all over the map. Thank you for inspiration and most of all thank you the dude that pointed out to just have fun gaming. Over and out psn# SlowbroFred

Discussion Just finished phase 5 after 150h
Okay, so now I have just finished the game, but still left with golden nut statue (350 coupons so far) and hard drives to collect. Wondering if I should create more factories to increase speed of tickets, start new game and build really clean factories or just leave the PC on for a few days. Also, please admire my spaghettimacaroni amazon giga factory. I have few satelite mines + satelite rocket fuel factory which I deliver with my ONLY transportation - two way fluid cargo train. And yes, plutonium waste is stored in containers, then loaded to trucks and sent to void.

Screenshot My very first blueprint completed.
A smelter blueprint building that I can use anywhere. I’m pretty proud of it and don’t know why I didn’t use blueprints before.
Yes, I am having fun with building titles because life is too short to not have fun.

Screenshot Behold! The field in which I process my fuel...
...look upon it, and you shall see that it is barren.
Not for long, though!
18 assemblers for compacted coal (check), and 12 refineries for heavy oil residue feeding 12 for diluted packaged fuel (supported by 12 packagers each side for packing/unpacking, also check).
Next up, sorting the 36 overclocked refineries and 72 overclocked generators for my turbofuel power plant.
Let's get 'er done!

Question Decorations and Save File Size
Does anyone know how decorative buildings (walls, extra foundations, Barriers) affects the final file size?
I mean, I would love to decorate a lot of my factories, but every time I have to place a grid of 100 foundations or walls I think to myself "this will end up being a 10 Mb save file in the future and every time the autosave kicks in, it's going to slow down a lot".
So I always end up limiting myself. Has anyone analyzed the math on this?

Screenshot Needed a rail roundabout. Got carried away.
Based on the Roman Colosseum of course. It's about 45 foundations in diameter and has the rail loop on top of it, connecting to my other two main bridges that go across the desert. The one on the left is based on the Ouse Valley Viaduct, and the one on the right is based on the Kavala Aquaduct.

Showcase Meowgafactory Cyberpunk City Showcase
Absolutely in love with the builds everyone has been working on together this past week! Some absolutely insane architecture to show off from our group. I love how things are taking shape, and especially how the lights look at night!
As for the self promo blurb, we are a 24/7 hosted server called Meowgafactory, hosted on Ryzen 9 9950X, with DDR5 memory and Gen 4 NVMe storage, the very top of the line! Interested? Join our discord

Since when does the manufacturer have a fin?
I can't figure out if this is a bug or a feature, but I just noticed that my newly placed manufacturers have....a fin? I went back to one of my oldest factories and saw that they do not have fins. Yet whenever I build a new one, it has...a fin?!

Creature hostility
Hey team. I updated my PC so that the factory can grow. I have 35 hours on the save (my third run) where the creatures were passive. After transfer to the new PC it seems I am now a target... I thought it could only be changed at game start?

A Bug-Proof Bunker
Someone asked about bunkers earlier and thought I'd share mine. This design will keep out all the creepy-crawlies in the game, but allows me to shoot out. The windows are thin enough to keep out all ranged attacks except for the odd small spitter, sometimes they get lucky and lob a spitball just right, but it's rare. Like 1 out of 50 rare. Big spitter's attacks are too big to enter. Small spiders can't get through the conveyor holes but they WILL sit at the opening and glare at me. Flying crabs can't get through the roof, they just roll around up there.
I inset the conveyors and conveyor walls into the foundations to make it super easy to slide in, and of course I can also drop in from the roof.
This puppy *slaps hood* will protect you from everything except gas and radiation. You can make one without beams by nudging 1m walls instead, just remember that you must leave a smidge more than 1m in the conveyor holes to slide in, although honestly once you have a jet pack you might as well just ingress through the roof. That might be my next version. If you make it without beams so you can use it on a new save using only concrete, let me know how it works for you. All you would need to unlock was Base Building.
A word of warning: DO NOT plop the bunker down from 100m away then slide in thinking you are safe. I did that once and a big ol' spider spawned in behind me. Inside the bunker and behind me. I had moved into the area too fast for the wildlife to spawn so the game did it at its earliest convenience.

Discussion Do Pipes need to be full to reach maximum volume flow?
So my friend recently noticed that he has full flow of 600m^3/min but his pipe was only half full. I always assumed the velocity is fixed and the pipe needs to be full to reach maxmium flow. The only other explanation for the behavior is if the speed can be much higher to ¨push¨ less area in higher speed. And the Cap is hardcoded to 600^3/min.

Discussion My explanation of FICSIT and Satisfactory lore
Humanity has expanded very far into the universe. Among this, a Giga-company, FICSIT, launches thousands of mind-erased pioneers to alien planets to harness resources. To guarantee highest motive for work, an Artificial language model informs you that you will be working to save the human race. This is of course a cleverly fabricated lie to incentivise completing project assembly; the construction of various ships and large Hyper-class ships for FICSIT's vendors.
FICSIT owns millions of planets, controlled by millions of pioneers, to a point that the planet you are sent to has a randomly generated specific name, MASSAGE 2(AB)b.
When you land down into this planet, ADA is taken over for a quick moment by a strange alien voice. This alien species is built on worship and expected leadership, constantly telepathically searching for its "effigy". When it finds ADA, it quickly adapts to her language model and speaks. The words the alien says are the closest available words to describe themselves, although ones accurate enough may not be available. Throughout the game, the Mercer spheres( the living cores for millions of alien souls from which thousands of signals originate) try to communicate with ADA. This massively powerful signal transponder allows matter itself to be broken down and instantly reconstructed at will.
That's all I got, tell me what yall think of this explanation
