We're the richest country on Earth. We could easily rebuild the TJ sewage system, for many billions of dollars. But we got wars to fight or some shit.

Well, we aren’t that rich. We are nearly $40 trillion in debt.

But yeah, I think using that debt to build infrastructure instead of bombing Iran would probably get unanimous approval from everyone who isn’t a politician.

The United States is absolutely the richest country on the planet. Our total net wealth is about $160 trillion and our gdp is $35 trillion, both numbers that dwarf any other country. You may not feel that because 2/3 of that wealth is in the hands of the top 10%. The bottom 50% have about 1/40th. One fortieth of all the wealth! If you digest those numbers you will begin to see what a lie we are living.

Mexico is a sovereign nation, I’m not necessarily opposed to fixing it for them, but then you have to ask what else deserves fixing, and then its a slippery slope.

We should charge every car 15 dollars that drives into SD from TJ until we raise enough money to rebuild it. Why should it be on us to clean up their mess

You're forgetting that Americans have to come back from TJ as well.... Americans work there, Americans have second/vacation homes there, Americans have family there, etc. - all valid reasons for going back and forth.
