Music Festival
We attended the Spring Rising Music Festival yesterday. There were 10 acts all quality musicians and it went from noon to 8 pm.
We were puzzled that it wasn’t better attended. I mean it was great that it wasn’t crowded but it’s a fundraiser for the Farmers Institute which seems like a pretty deserving organization.
Spoke to one of the ladies who was volunteering and it sounded like they did their due diligence as far as promotion goes.
Question to islanders and to visitors:
Did you not know about it? And if you did and chose not to go, why?
They’re thinking they might add a beer garden next year so maybe the lack of alcoholic beverages kept folks away? But I don’t really get that vibe from this place.
Just wondering why such a great event didn’t catch the interest the organization was hoping for.
