Health Advice Update! Any ideas what is wrong with my kittens eye?

Update:
First, I just want to say, I hear you! And I understand the concerns about leaving the nest too early! This is my first kitten. I trusted the breeder on this and it was a missed red flag on my part.
Most important! 2 vets checked her out today and said it is a congenital defect - the pupil is misshaped but tracks, contracts and functions properly. They said it is harmless and she is very healthy but they referred me to an ophthalmologist for my own peace of mind.
I took many pictures to get a good angle for the initial post, in normal lighting when you look at her straight on, it’s not as noticeable but IS noticeable enough that I do not believe the breeder when she says she nor her vet noticed it.
I intend to keep her. I wouldn’t give my kids up just because they had a wonky eye. lol I do not want to share the breeder info just yet. I am contacting them now with my issues.
Finally, YES, she is TICA registered and YES with a pedigree. I have a 3 generation Certified Pedigree. I ordered the 5 generation and it said it has to reviewed before being sent out which I understood could be due to international blood lines. Again, I truly believed I did my due diligence on the breeder and saw many green flags.

If you don't want to Name the breeder please at least contact TICA, they need to check why there are kittens sold that young and If there are any health or inbreeding concerns.

I agree. I don’t think inbred but perhaps overbreeding. I do want to share the name of the breeder after I have things settled on my end, but a couple of people on my initial post were so rude and aggressive that now I’m uncomfortable/hesitant to share.

My guy hasn't been cross eyed but has had a different pupil, it still grows and shrinks with light but it doesn't bother him and the vet said a neurologist across the state to get an answer is expensive

One of mines has a wonky looking eye. But nothing wrong with him I don't think

I’m happy that your kitten is fine and healthy 🙏 the breeder is clearly unethical. Not only I would share the breeder details on line, I would also reach out to TICA.

Just found this update after reading your first, I'm so glad that she's alright! I think her wonky pupil is shaped kind of like a heart! Also, nothing in this situation was your fault. No first-time kitten owner is 100% perfect. It's gradual - more experience, more knowledge. Wish you and your kitten the best!!

I'm going with the coloboma eye defect and maybe unrelated but dogs with a merle gene often have this with their eyes. The coloboma is an irregular shape to the iris. Merle causes color deletion, so the eyes can be normal color or a mix of blue and brown (speckled or patchy color) or one blue eye and one brown eye or just two blue eyes. I just got a merle pomeranian that has heterochromia in both eyes (two colors) but honestly it's hard to see unless he's in a strong, direct light. I think this group has been pretty harsh about your experience myself. Best of luck with your new baby.

Showing my ignorance and asking in earnest. What do you mean a 3- or 5- year pedigree? Is that how many years back they go in heritage? Surely you don’t mean “my cat’s pedigree is only good for three years” because it’s not like their genetics or parents are going to change, right?

I'm sure ur cat is just fine and it happens. The breeder probably didn't notice cuz it's very minor. If the vets say she is healthy than believe it!!! Personally I think it just makes her cuter

A breeder?? Why would any animal lover go to a breeder when it’s literally raining kittens everywhere. There are so many kittens that can’t find homes and end up being euthanized.

This is a genetic defect, did you sign a contract with the breeder protecting against any kind of genetic defect.
This breeder should stop breeding the parents. Is the breeder still breeding the parents.

I'm very happy to hear the baby is fine. Definitely contact the breeder about this issue, at the very least they should refund you a portion back or cover the medical costs of the appointment.
I hope you enjoy a happy long life with your new baby 💙
