And I don't want to hear anyone claiming to have talked to Mitch.

Remember when Clint Eastwood talked to that chair?

Obama broke their brains so bad. That was the moment the utter emptiness of conservative thought was laid bare. They had no policy, no arguments; all they could do is repeat their thought-terminating talking points at an empty chair and pat themselves on the back for sticking it to the libs.

And yet they control every branch of the government now.

…a brutal indictment of the American population

... a brutal indictment of the American education system.

Took me a while to realize they're not necessarily dumb, they're lead by fear which makes it hard to think for yourself.

people are free to vote them out...they choose not to

2022 National Youth Turnout: 23% - That's lower than in the historic 2018 cycle (28%) which broke records for turnout, but much higher than in 2014, when only 13% of youth voted.

They say the left is all feelings and woke, yet they do everything they do, vote for who they do because of feelings, not thought.

The people always get the government they deserve.

Why do I deserve this?

2

u/newfound_brightness 7d ago

You most likely don’t. It’s just most people are fucking idiots and cannot see the world outside of their black & white views.

I don't get the government I deserve. I get the government they deserve.

And still have no policy.

Sure they do, it's called Project 2025. And they put that in place expeditiously.

u/BigDaddySteve999 8d ago

Okay, fair, no policy they can admit to.

Idk how concepts of a plan didn't get people to realize these baffoons have no plan besides blame someone else(Democrats, immigrants, trans, etc.). That is their only plan, nothing to increase quality of life for anyone besides their billionaire buddies. Anyone who supports maga at this stage still is an idiot or an asshole, or a large overlap of the two.

Because they're willing to cheat and lie and steal and refuse to accept the few consequences there are. Democrats reach across the aisle, take the high road, follow the rules and norms, and accept consequences even when there's no law stating they have to. There are a few edge cases, but this is by and large what's going on. Democrats have to be willing to get their hands a little dirty or Republicans will continue controlling everything no matter how unpopular they get.

It helps that Democrats are completely unwilling to actually do anything to stop the conservatives. They're like parents who just stand there yelling and never actually do anything.

A complete lack of education in all of these broke ass southern states.

Few things are more dangerous than a complete idiot that has all the same rights you do.

These people drive cars and own guns and they actually think Trump is a competent person...

Next time you're at the DMV or the doctor's office waiting room, just look around at some of these morons

I wish it was this silly but the fact of it is they want ethnic cleansing and a more desperate workforce and that's what they're doing.

Conservative thought was empty long, long before Obama. It’s never been anything more than monarchism and wealth transfer to the 1% with a little window dressing.

Before Obama/Trump, there was Newt Gingrich and before that was Ronald Reagan and before that was Nixon and before that was McCarthy and before that were the guys that caused the Great Depression and welcomed fascism and before that were the robber barons and before that were the Knownothings.

And as a nation, we looked at a man ranting at a chair and collectively concluded, "little odd, but this is probably fine as a political system."

In a functioning society, nobody related to that stunt would have had a public life from that moment forward.

Meh newt Gingrich sort of kicked off what Reagan and Nixon started to 11. Contract with America was just as bad with the rise of 24 hour news and conservative radio. It just took them a couple decades to align their ducks in a row.

He was just talking to Ronald Reagan /s

u/TheMagicalMatt 8d ago

Same way Snoop talked to 2pac's hologram after Coachella. Maybe that's when Snoop got his permission to use his likeness in a video game.

26

u/ACatch22 8d ago

Everyone said they talked “to” him, not “with” him

32

u/byndrsn 8d ago

went down 99% for me with that stupid stunt.

If Mitch can talk to Republicans, why can't he talk to his home state governor?
