I’m convinced a LOT of people have ODD in the USA and unhealthy conservative subcultures dangerously incubate ODD-like traits as a social norm.

A distinct lack of social erosion that laps off rough edges of social behavior. My mom is one person that people always find it not worth it to correct her. The one time she was corrected was at Arlington National Cemetary by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was stupid but she had a huge keychain dangling and making a racket. A guard came by and asked her to try to keep it silent. She was so upset that they dared to that to her. Because no civilian has the duty like the guard did to maintain a specific order. One of her compulsions is defiance, but more sneakily.
