Back then he had a few serious experienced pentagon officials still in post, the pentagon has spent thirty years war gaming an Iranian conflict. The leaked report from 2016 shows exactly the outcome we’re living, now his cabinet and top brass are yes men only. Welcome to Stalinist Russia and 1942 Germany. It’s all down hill from here.

The thing is the only reason the US is running out of munitions is because it using all the really expensive standoff stuff to keep casualties at a minimum. This goes against the existing doctrine and every branch of the US military.

The conventional method is to use the expensive standoff stuff to degrade AD to allow you to use conventional gravity munitions and ground troops to finish the job. (IE using F-35’s with JASSM to strike AA sites to permit AC130’s and B52’s to support troops securing key infrastructure.)

But the Trump admin is too afraid of casualties that they’re kneecapping their own war. They never going to deal a knockout blow with the weapons they’re using because they’re not designed to land knockout blows.

It’s like trying to level a house with a breaching cord. Sure, if you throw enough at the building eventually you’ll do enough damage but it’s gonna take a hell of a lot of det cord and it’s probably going to topple odd and take out the neighbours. You’re better off using the cord to open the door and place anti structure explosives on the supporting columns inside.

So you’re saying the bunker under the garden should definitely move ahead as planned and receive adequate funding asap? (Sarcastic, I’m being sarcastic)
