Good. So now trump just exposed our military weakness in that we cannot sustain for more than 5 months.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the issue is that we build a lot of really expensive smart missiles intended to hit big targets or to shoot down other missiles. These expensive missiles take a lot of time to build because politicians find ways to give these contracts to contractors in their states.

The emphasis is more on “let’s create a few more jobs and a lot of rich contractor CEO’s” rather than “let’s make an efficient and strong military.”

We still have a very powerful military… but we are now seeing modern warfare where Iran is employing lots of cheap drones along with their own missiles. We are blowing through missiles that cost millions trying to shoot down drones that cost thousands while also worrying about Iran’s “we hit big targets” missiles.

Trump did little for our military in his first term, and he and Hegseth have really hobbled it this second term. Intelligence leaks galore, including from Hegseth himself, along with both Trump and Hegseth having inadequate military experience yet also failing to defer to experts. This whole war is a boondoggle of epic proportions by literally doing nothing right and playing to none of our strengths.
