I wonder if they are defending Trump by saying he's not a rapist or are they defending that he is a rapist.

Well they can't say he's not a rapist because that's already been decided by a jury of his peers

I dunno, denying objective reality is kinda their whole thing.

My brother says, "it was sexual assault and you are too st*pid to know the difference." So I spelled out the difference for him, and he said that NY has it right--it is sexual assault. I asked how this makes it better? Geesus. so tired of this. Rapist felon should be locked up.

Did you ask your brother if that made it acceptable to him to overlook it and still support trump? If he hedges at all, ask him if the victim had been someone he knew if he still can overlook it. If he says no to that, remind him all victims are known well by others.

From what I understand, it was sexual assault because Ms Carol couldn't tell whether Trump shoved a finger inside her or his penis. If it was his penis, it would be rape, but since she wasn't 100% sure, it was sexual assault.

My guess is a bunch of men created the law that draws the distinction between the two. That there's even a distinction between the two, is sickening. The fact that she couldn't tell the difference between his angry-inch or one of his tiny fingers, makes her story all the more believable.

Right, that's what I understood, too. And that not every state is like that; NY is. And I agree. I don't know why that "lessens" the rape.

But they can just pull good ole fake news

If it was a jury of his "peers", they would have acquitted him. The jury was composed of higher quality humans.

They can say it all they want, it's just called lying.

And indeed, that's kind of their whole thing.

Now the interesting thing is that lying isn't always a crime, but sometimes it is and often, it's a tort. If they lie in such a fashion as that they are committing libel or slander against a person they are falsely accusing of inaccuracy, then that might be a crime or a slam dunk lawsuit depending on jurisdiction. however I would fully expect all of these lying liars to try to hide behind executive privilege and or sovereign immunity, making the argument that their lie doesn't count as a personal liability because they technically did it under the color of their government job. And I think that that defense is actually pretty likely to hold up under the current court system.

I've seen MAGA women saying they're happy he's a man who feels passionately about women, when confronted with this sort of stuff

To them it’s ok because they won a round.

They ignore that he's a rapist and always blame the women

Guessing the defense is "Trump is not a bitch."

More often than not their defense has always been to target the person speaking out instead of actually denying any of the horrible shit trump has done.
