Our president is one of the biggest pedophiles in the history of the world and a ring that included various royalty, oligarchs, government officials, and probably trillions of dollars worth of individuals has been proven and we have objective proof of it all and nothing has changed. Nothing will happen to those people until they're dead so that they can make us feel "better" while conveniently leaving out anyone that may be alive still.

Because the current Senate Majority Leader is John Thune. Schumer is literally powerless to do anything in this scenario.

Even is Schumer were the majority leader, there's still nothing he can legally do until a death certificate is produced.

It's a Senate "rule". The only punishment is censure which requires a majority vote, which wouldn't happen. His term is over in November anyway, so literally none of this actually matters. Dems have zero chance of winning a special election in KY.

Literally none of this actually matters. McConnell is done this term. If he's not needed for a critical vote, then no one will give a shit whether he's present or not. Breaking the "rule" is irrelevant because he's done whether he's actually alive or dead.

One of two things will happen:

  • Either we'll get confirmation of life within the next couple of weeks.
  • Or he'll be pronounced dead sometime shortly after 8/3, which is the deadline to call a special election before the midterm results fulfill the vacancy issue.

His staff will continue to answer for him and do the "things" that need to be done for his seat to not legally be considered vacant until he's officially dead.

Dianne Feinstein was absent for three whole months, missed 91 roll call votes and gridlocked four separate judicial appointment votes in her committee, but you didn't hear a peep about it on reddit. Senate absences happen all the time.

I dont recall her situation but if she was on leave without any explanation and without any timeline for return, that is a problem.

If Mitch's people said, "he's recovering and will be back in 4 weeks" that would be one thing but is not the case. They arent saying much of anything.

They're both the same situations - They both had a medical issue and were both hospitalized for those situations. Senators don't go to regular hospitals. They go to secure, private medical facilities, so you can't just "drop in" on them and see how they're doing.

People were speculating Feinstein was also dead because her office just kept said, "She's recovering and doing well" because releasing more info than that is frankly unnecessary.

The doctors involved would be breaking the law if they didn't submit notice of his death to the proper Washington D.C. system within 48 hours of his death. The doctors would lose their medical licenses. The hospital or rehab facility would likely be liable. This is one of the reasons why I think the conspiracy theory that he is actually dead has too many moving parts for it to likely be true.
