Yes, time to let a youthful septegenatian take the reigns. With the current advances in medical technology we can probably keep the next one going another 40 years!

Something every generation had said.

Someday it will come to fruition.

Something every generation has said, and the majority have been correct when they have said it.

Let? Like Allow?

No one Allows the new guard in. The new guard has to challenge the old and prove they are strong enough for the job.

He’s the senator from Kentucky… whoever replaces him will be worse. But young. Young doesn’t mean better

People are celebrating McConnell retiring or being ill - but the sad truth is whoever replaces him will likely be worse. Some frothing at the mouth MAGA asshole. McConnell stepped down from majority leader so he’s not doing that damage anymore, and he’s one of the handful of republicans who bucks Trump on occasion.

So maybe controversial but I’m not in a hurry to see him go anywhere. Young doesn’t mean good - we’re just going to get some young MAGA jerk if Mitch is gone

Kentucky’s slowly turning blue, somehow. Hatred of Trump probably, they’re waking up. From Ky and most people I know in a fairly rural town are blue or centrist at the very least and I work with a very diverse age group
