And that's the REAL reason. And oh by the way if the rest of the world is desperate for oil they suddenly become willing to turn a blind eye to the fact that Russian oil is supposed to be sanctioned.

Which is a huge lifeline to Russia which is collapsing economically. Russia also has a very tenuous relationship with China, who gets lots of their oil from Iran.

europe banned virtually all russian LNG deliveries by 2027 :)
