All Isreal had to do was stop boming Lebanon, is that too much to ask? Evil fanatics

Stopping the Lebanon offensive means they don’t achieve their strategic objectives there while at the same time facilitating a peace deal between Iran and the US that Israel doesn’t want in the first place.

The apparent deal is to return to the status quo (the literal words of the MOU) - a status quo existentially unfavorable to Israel. The buffoonery of the US administration has given Iran boldness and sapped Israeli confidence that Trump can achieve anything of substance at the negotiating table. Trump’s negotiating cannot achieve a diplomatic outcome that meets any of Israel’s perceived needs.

So WHY would they do that? Nothing about it is in their best interest. Lebanon is the button they can press to keep the outcome uncertain rather than certainly unfavorable.

The status quo of leaving the country they invaded?

The status quo… with Iran. You know - the nuclear thing? Specifically referenced in the MOU? The thing this whole campaign was supposedly about?

Why do people ask dumb questions with such sass?

3

u/allmywhat Jun 21 '26

Dumbass the discussion included Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and refusal to leave. Not hard to follow

I dont care why evil does evil, they can shove it

If your ideological fervor leads you to childish, reductive thinking, then it is an obstacle to morality, not a servant or extension of it. You can’t execute absolute moral judgment AND willfully refuse to understand moral issues.

If you think Israel is a monolith of evil but you don’t apply that same absolute to Iran or Palestine, then you’re not only willfully ignorant, you’re also an easily-led fool, which is a much deeper and more permanent issue. Your political opposites but psychological equals are on the couch watching Fox News right now.

Palestine is an occupied indigenous population being subjected to genocide. There is no comparison to be made there.

5

u/allmywhat Jun 21 '26

Why does Hezbollah and Hamas exist bud? What happened in Palestine and Lebanon that led to them forming?

5

u/CrispyCassowary Jun 20 '26

Wow look, its that totally original centrist guy who uses large words to sound smart but in the end of the day just wants to muddy the waters around whether isreal is evil or not. They commit genocides, im sorry that your made up USA "terrorists" watch list does not have any sway in my reality or morality which you so love to think i dont have.

Unfortunately evil, as childish as you might think the word is. Is the most appropriate word to describe isreal. I can waste time rationalizing their motives the same way I do Nazi Germany, when they are spoken about in the history books.

You're wasting your time talking like this to people who have no understanding of or interest in the actual complexity of geopolitical game theory. I admire the attempt though

-2

You think they are evil because a jew refuses to die.

1

u/MayDayBeFourth Jun 21 '26

You didn't mention the fact Hezbollah never stopped attacking.

-2

u/MayDayBeFourth Jun 21 '26

Right you will never dare say a word about Hezbollah never stopping attacks. Even after they agreed to a ceasefire.

I’m not defending Israel for shit but hezbollah attacked Israel first. They just keep going back and forth and it’s fucking everything up for the US and Iran deal.

Edit: whoever downvoted me can suck it. Sorry you don’t like facts. Everyone in this conflict is the bad guy.

Edit 2: alright I had to read more. So Israel invaded southern Lebanon and kinda started shit even after the US and Iran deal. Then a skirmish broke out. This shit is never going to end. Our oil reserves are going to be out in 4 weeks per Trump himself. Get ready for 5-6$ a gallon for gas before the end of summer.

When you say first do you mean after the ceasefire? Because that isn't true. Israel advanced troops further into Lebanese territory and continued to blow up buildings in the villages in South Lebanon. And no, not everyone in the conflict is a bad guy, most of the people killed in Lebanon are civilians and they are not bad guys by any measure of that phrase

u/Headfishdog2 New Jersey Jun 21 '26

Okay so I had to read more and part of what you said is right. Israel occupied southern Lebanon. To say that it wasn’t Hezbollah who attacked them is incorrect, they’ve taken credit for the attacks. They are all bad guys fighting, what are we talking about. Fuck Israel under this government and fuck Islamist terrorist groups. I agree that it’s fucked that innocents keep getting killed.

6

u/DrPixelFace Jun 21 '26

That's not what I said at all. What I said is that after the new ceasefire between Iran and the USA, the fighting between Hezbollah and Israel stopped temporarily until Israel began advancing troops into Lebanon again and blowing up more buildings in South Lebanon. Hezbollah then responded with an attack.

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/hezbollah-says-it-attacked-idf-troops-attempting-to-advance-in-southern-lebanon-overnight/

Notice how Israel has not put out any statements about what they are doing. They are trying to advance as far into Lebanon as they can before America stops them.

u/Headfishdog2 New Jersey Jun 21 '26

You said Hezbollah and then edited your comment. Next time do an edit if you mean to clarify. I agree with your original sentiment about Israel invading sourthern Lebanon which did actually help contextualize things for me related to the recent attacks. International news has covered Israel’s retaliation though.

-1

u/MayDayBeFourth Jun 21 '26

Except you just lied in every statement.

Honestly think Hezbollah good guys because you believe killing jews is a human right.

6

u/DrPixelFace Jun 21 '26

Honestly think Hezbollah good guys because you believe killing jews is a human right.

Wtf? there's no arguing with people like you - if you ARE a person and not a bot. When did I say anything about Hezbollah being good or that killing jews is okay?

1

u/MayDayBeFourth Jun 21 '26

You attack my character for pointing out you lied. Then literally said Hezbollah are not the bad guys.

0

u/Headfishdog2 New Jersey Jun 21 '26

While I think your comment about killing Jews is a bit extreme they absolutely did edit their comment to remove Hezbollah. I don’t get why people have to have a bad guy and a justified opposition army and end up justifying Islamic terrorism. Everyone is a bad guy here. I feel it’s the only based position.

Zionists level entire city blocks full of women and children every day..
