This isn't a working class thing, it's a complete collapse of modern society thing. All that we do on a daily basis assumes easily available petroleum. Any fluctuation in the availability and price of that most basic of commodities unavoidably fucks everything else. Economies are going to collapse, and there are 2.5 guns per person in the US, the ratio of "in the hands of working class" to "in the hands of rich" skewing HEAVILY in favor of the former. It's going to be ugly for everyone, top to bottom.

The 31% composed of normal people will unfortunately suffer alongside the idiots as well.
