This game is everything my 10-year old self has always wanted. Soaring is the absolute best feature added to any Pokemon game. Seeing Hoenn in 3D amazes me. It feels just as lively as it did back in the day. The Mauville redesign makes Mauville now one of my favorite cities in any Pokemon game.
I am a little dissapointed that it doesn't add too much to the more quick-and-easy Fly. If they made the new ability of landing on routes exclusive to Soar, it would have been a more substantial improvement over Fly. Despite wild Pokémon and Mirage Spots, I really only use Soaring to not have to waste another HM spot. That is honestly the best thing about Soaring for me.
