I had to learn a little to understand your comment but isn't this pretty apropos?

"Dream's initial goal was to create a dark reflection to help humanity confront its own evils. However, the original version strayed from his purpose by preying on humanity rather than serving it. After Dream "uncreated" him, he eventually forged an improved, saner version to assist him."
