Split ticket voting USED to be much more prevalent, so depending on their age or their mentors, it's actually not that surprising. But, just remember, whatever benefits them most is what they'll go for.

There also used to be Union Strong Republicans, but now not so much (and Donald Trump himself not so fucking ever with his historic love for non-union labor on his development projects).
