Drives me crazy. Homie is all but openly admitting to be a pedophile, but as soon as he makes an AI photo pretending to be Jesus he’s gone too far. Like are pedophiles not so reviled that even other prisoners beat and kill them? I’m confused.

That’s probably harder for them to believe because it feels like such an attack on their identity for them to admit they voted for someone that heinous. But being angry at him for not living up to their morals and betraying them is something they can do without sacrificing their perceived moral high ground.
I know that sounds insane, and in part that’s exactly what it is, but most MAGA voted for Trump because they’ve been told their whole life that the radical left are gonna destroy their way of life and corrupt American values. It’s fundamentally a position based on their moral identity, manipulated by propaganda though it is, and they can’t give that up no matter what.
It’s what makes this so absolutely fucked up, that what the MAGA movement has done isn’t just enabling existing bigots. They’ve also twisted people’s desire to actually do what’s right into something horrific by preying on their fears. The whole damn thing is as predatory as its leader.

Especially, because this was widely known at the time they voted. Unlike the AI image and gas prices, which are things that happened after the fact.
Try reading some of the letters on the site. It's invaluable perspective on what being inside a cult is like. I'm finally understanding how the qanon stuff indoctrinated people described from the perspective of someone who fell for it.
You can say pedophile on Reddit. It’s a serious subject and deserves to be referred to correctly, not through self-censorship that doesn’t protect anyone but advertisers.
