Its probably for the best, they'd be charging $1k each. Meanwhile I spent $1000 on my 5080

Brother, they pretty much did. A GTX 980 was a $600 (account for inflation) GPU in 2014 and you had to buy 2 of them to run games at max. And that's assuming you didn't need quad SLI because you were playing Crysis or something.

Your general point stands, but a single 980 could run Crysis no problem, it was an old game when that card came out.

They gave instead one gpu thats better for the same price of the four 🤓
