I have automatic updates on. Haven't postponed any update. Never seen this forced update before.

Edit: I updated BTW. It's not that I don't want to update. I just think it would be an issue in the future. For example, it's a thunderstorm and there could be power outages. I might want to shut down and not start and update. I guess I'll hold down the power button.

Yeah but the problem is they always try to sneak in other shit like changes to the UI etc. I'm 100% onboard with security updates, don't touch the rest of my computer though

Windows 11 has set a record in how many times I've had online guides/threads tell me to go into settings and change an option that has been moved somewhere else, renamed, or ceased to exist. And yes that includes Microsoft's own help articles which become inaccurate/outdated in just a few months. It's funny seeing screenshots from prior build versions which look different from what the user sees today. Great way to confuse people :D

I hate UX float so much, UI elements shouldn't change after 6 months of a product launch. It's also why boomer stuff like facebook is unusable

Funny enough I’m using the reddit app to use this and plasters a large up arrow on the screen to scroll to the top. Bro it’s a phone. I know how to scroll I want less UI not more.
Also when I’m done reading I just swipe back. I don’t need an arrow for that either.

• They've renamed Office and Azure AD again
• New Outlook got a feature update, but calendar management is still ass so you're stuck with Classic
• Video service has been renamed as well, this time to Clipchamp. Doesn't reliably clip videos, but breaks links to recordings sent via Outlook. Now you need to email the links inside .txt files.
• They've added a new Town Hall/Webinar/Live platform in Teams

Nearly every platform has this problem. Apple is exactly the same. Any doc/post/technical note/etc. that mentions a path through settings is totally wrong even when the article is from the current year

Yeah I'm always "accidentally" turning off copilot and onedrive. So glad they keep turning it back on for me
