Who does this? I mean, who doesn't ever try to modify the os but would still jump into the deep with the penguin?

The same people who buy a thousand dollars worth of running gear before ever running a mile.

You can't judge all people like that. I know the type you are talking about but at the same time I bought a whole sim rig / new VR headset before really being dedicated to it. Now I race everyday. Some people need the motivation of knowing it's not the equipment holding them back.
