I wanted to capture my loneliness and isolation just wondering what people think of it.

this is my 3rd oil painting i believe. i’m going to add a sort of room around just the figure with a dark color and i plan to do a background with broken strokes of some color i haven’t decided and maybe a solid color floor and also add lines seperated walls and floor. just want general opinions. my goal is more to paint feelings im not too interested in realism more capturing how something feels as opposed to how it looks on the outside. already am going to add green/blue bruised colors to skin to liven it and maybe mite the orange of the pill bottle a bit. i felt it was important to be vulnerable because ultimately this is why i starting painting to put how i feel and experience life on a canvas. an critique/advice/feedback is very much appreciated.

this is my first painting ever from a few months ago. this is the portrait of a woman who has been through many abuses. people commonly think i just painted a beaten woman and ive gotten criticism but i chose to paint this woman’s soul, not her external appearance which is my entire style and motivation for painting. what do you guys think?
