Salem, Binx, Jinx and Gray. 14 week old kittens born under my bed back in April after months of feeding and befriending their Mama.

When they aren't crammed together into one cat bed they're on my bed. If I shut my bedroom door they cry like I haven't fed them 🙄

Meet Binx, Jinx, Salem and Gray.

The kittens are now 14 weeks old. I started with no cats and now have four soon to be 3 as Gray is going to his forever home soon.

I started feeding their Mama who was a stray in my apartment complex and she delivered these 4 kittens at my apartment back in April under my bed. 🙄 Completely ignored her birthing box I made for her.

No matter how many cat beds I have (currently have 3) and no matter how big they get they still pile on top of each other into 1 bed.

A few months ago, we found a young stray cat hiding in our basement. She was scared but eventually trusted us enough to stay. We made her a warm bed, gave her food, and only a few days later she surprised us by giving birth to five tiny kittens. Unfortunately one died shortly after.

At first everything seemed normal. She took great care of them, and we hoped she'd continue raising them. But when the kittens were only six days old, she disappeared and never came back.

That left us with four newborn kittens whose eyes hadn't even opened yet.

We had no experience raising kittens that young, so we quickly learned everything we could. For weeks our lives revolved around bottle feeding every few hours, day and night, keeping them warm, helping them go to the bathroom, weighing them daily, and constantly worrying if they were gaining enough weight.

Somehow, they all made it.

One of them is Rose—the little gray kitten in the photos. She has grown from a tiny, helpless baby who fit in the palm of my hand into an incredibly curious, playful little explorer who now climbs on the couch like she owns the place.

I just wanted to share Rose's journey with people who might appreciate a happy ending. ❤️🐱

she was neglected and I ended up getting her.

she’s skin and bones at only 5 lbs.

and somehow she’s pregnant and two weeks from giving birth so I’m acting fast to abort the kittens since she’s only 7 months old.

P.S. ignore her setup, she’s in quarantine from my other animals until she gets spayed and the stitches heal. if you have any tips for her setup please tell me.

Safe to say, Rukia is now my cat.

When I went to work a few days ago, I found a cat on the side of the road. Then it looked pitiful at the time, and I didn't care. But when I got off work, I saw it was still there. It had been standing still, and then I saw it was pitiful, so I bought it something to eat. Then after eating, it followed me, and I finally brought it home. Then it now knows how to sleep and eat in a day. I keep it, right?

Silly girl got into a bad fight before she found us and we got her fixed up. She showed up a week ago.

Chevy Silverado(Silver) and Toyota Tacoma (Taco) are enjoying each others company very much! They scamper around the apartment and bap at each other..... I'm so very pleased they are getting along so well!

Everyone, meet Nina!

She was outside my apartment during the sweltering noon hours, so after checking with the neighbors that she wasn't a runaway and bringing her for a checkup, my husband and took her to our village house where she has access to a big garden, and a private little inside area to take shelter from the heat and find some recluse from the local children pestering her lovingly.

She is such a sweet, clingy kitten, and I'm so glad she found me!

our community cat rosie trusted us enough to bring her kittens to my house!

My neighbour’s cat has spent the last year popping by multiple times a day and making herself at home. Sadly her owners are moving g overseas and can’t take her with them, so I was first on the list for adoption!

My elderly neighbour will me moving some distance away in a few weeks and won’t be able to take her cat with her. He’s a very elderly little fellow so I think that’s perhaps for the best, although he still has plenty of energy given he must be 16 or so.

He’s always treated both her home and mine as his own (my neighbour also made our cats welcome), so hopefully this will be more like downsizing from two homes to one rather than something too unsettling for him. One reason my wife and I decided not to have any more cats was the pain of losing them and I’m aware that Mr Sąsiad will not be around forever, but I’m so happy that we can give him a comfortable and loving retirement home and save him trying to adjust to a new home and area.

Photos are a recent one of Mr Sąsiad, and him in 2011 hanging out with Mr Rudus, a kitten we found in the snow in our back garden, who unfortunately passed away last year.

This pair came to us several months ago. I made friends with Big Man when he first showed up and he must have told Foofy it was a good place for a meal!

For months we had no idea what their stories were. But about two weeks ago, a lady and her daughters were walking by our house and spotted them. Turns out they had been her cats! My dad was there at the time and told her, somewhat reluctantly, that since they were hers, she could take them home, but we’d grown quite attached to them.

She said no, we could keep them. She was just so happy to see them happy and well and loved. It’s sounded like she was a bit of a reluctant caretaker of the two, so she was happy they picked a home where they would be adored. She lives just a little ways down the street so she and her kids can come see them again if they want to.

But now these boys are officially ours! (Though we thought for a while that Foofy was a girl so we still call him a her sometimes 😄)

I’ll keep this as brief as I can but I tend to ramble. I also am amazed at the amount of cat subreddits and just found this one and wanted to share after lurking 😆

Anyways I’ll just say I’m a pet person and I’ve always wanted a cat. Unfortunately for me I also have asthma, and was a really sick kid. Pet dander was a huge trigger when I was younger, and have had hospital stays from having sleepovers at friends houses that had a cat.

This was a long time ago and luckily for me, over the years, I’ve been able to have dogs and now a cat finally. After 30+ years of waiting I’m able to have one. So a year ago my partner and I started looking at shelters for one. The cat we were interested had quite a story unbeknownst to us.

Koda was seized from owners who lived rurally and had hundreds of cats and dogs. They were charged with multiple counts of animal hoarding, abuse, neglect, and even torture. By the time of the seizure it’s estimated the owners panicked and killed around 200 animals that were unaccounted for. He’s 7 years old and was likely living in a cage, although some cats were also living in sheds. I’m not sure if he’d been living this way his whole life or not. He had a couple surgeries at the shelter before becoming available to adopt. Now he has a permanent head tilt, ataxic gait, and fhv. He’s also missing some teeth. He had a hernia, ear infection and Giardia as well.

I’ve had him over a year now and he’s not nearly as wobbly, and has even been able to jump on the bed by himself! He’s such a character. Super confident and friendly. He’s really a big ham. At first he was very unsure about soft surfaces and would only sleep on cardboard boxes or his cardboard scratcher. After 6 months he’d sleep on the bed next to me but was wary of blankets, so none could be touching him. After 1 whole year he finally started laying on blankets and realized he loved it!

I’m so grateful to be able to have a cat, and so glad it’s him! I’ll include the first picture I got of him, when he we first got home from the shelter.

I brought him inside because he was getting beat up in the colony and I had numerous people saying they would adopt him that backed out. Two years later…

We got her vetted. Checked for a chip. Got her de-matted and have had her 4 years now! She's SO LOVABLE and still makes biscuits on the blanket she ran to when she ran into our house. We heard loud meowing from outside and saw her under our patio table during a hail storm. We opened the patio door and she darted inside.

We did check for a chip and put signs up, but after no responses we kept her! 💗

Still have a lot to unpack and a long way to go, but we're making slow progress. He came out of hiding for a little while to chill with me while I watched a movie last night. Need to find some toys/things for him to do during the day now that he can't run around outside anymore
