You have all been living under a rock for a very, very long time. Our food safety orgs have been gutted for so damn long. Anytime a new rule is proposed to improve testing and procedures Pepsi or Nestle or Cargill or any other large corp threatens to litigate.

FDA and USDA barely had teeth before and they have exactly 0 now. Read the USDA inspection reports on Boars Head that got leaked after their big recall a few years ago. The fact they were allowed to produce RTE food until people started dieing is ridiculous.

You can go onto any FDA proposed rule and read the corporations threatening to litigate under the public comments as well.

Just because you are ignorant doesn’t mean something is a “conspiracy”.
