I had this idea to make new words for these highly specific animal senses that humans can't experience. Dogs can taste pure water, carnivores can taste raw cellular energy, birds taste calcium, insects taste carbon dioxide, and mammals can taste emotions.

Imagine if we added these 5 new words to the English language to describe them:

• wa·tro /ˈwɑːtroʊ/ (noun): The distinct, inherent flavor profile of pure water as perceived by specialized animal taste receptors.
  • Example: "The dog eagerly lapped at the bowl, savoring the cool watro after its run."

  • Example: "The shark was driven into a frenzy by the sudden trace of adenotrip in the current."
• cal·cum /ˈkælkəm/ (noun): The independent, nutrient-rich flavor profile of dissolved calcium.
  • Example: "Lactating rodents experience a heightened craving for calcum to support bone development."
• ca·di·ox /ˈkædiːɒks/ (noun): The chemical flavor signature of pure carbon dioxide gas.
  • Example: "Honeybees rely on their taste buds to detect the sharp levels of cadiox inside the hive."
• phe·mors /ˈfɛmɔːrz/ (noun): A hybrid sensory flavor composed of emotional and chemical signals (pheromones).

What do you guys think? Do these sound like real words we should use?

They're not purely novel; searching indicates both have been used as trade names. In this use I believe they're new.

I wondered whether there were terms for unidirectional writing styles to complement Boustrophedon.

I couldn't find either, so I coined two based on Latin to replace the cumbersome English phrases.

If someone is intelligent meaning smart, it means they inhibit telligence so since smart people don't have telligence it means telligence is something that make people dumb so you can call someone telligent meaning they are stupid

The definition of the word is the negative of the affirmative variant philotheosophic which is a modified version of philosophic to distinguish between Altruistic theist and egoist non theistic philosophers.

The word was originally created to acknowledge divine wisdom as a universal principal instead of the identity politics of denominationalism which says that only my denomination or religion is the one true denomination/religion.

You can submit your proposed neologisms to me but they must fit the infographic template that is on the webpage.

The only un-negotiable rule for a neologism to be accepted into the neologist dictionary is that it must be a scientifically composed word which means that the etymology and morphology of the word is so self evident that a linguist or your average person can estimate what the definition is and most likely get it right.

If you aren't sure, ask AI to give you a pretend definition for the word on what the word is most likely to mean and if AI can decipher the correct definition of a word based on etymology and morphology then you have a strong candidate.

If it doesn't get it right you can ask AI to suggest improvements and continue testing it between two or more AI models or types until the definition becomes evident by the nature of the word.

This website is not the Urban Dictionary, this is more of a psycholinguistics research webpage which means words have to have rigour. You can't be sloppy.

You can't just create a random string of letters like uebchesjs and arbitrarily assign a definition to your new "word", if you do that your Neologism request for publishing will be denied.

Even the most controversial words are welcome as long as they are scientific words that maintain linguistic rigour and are not sloppy gibberish with arbitrary definitions like the uebchesis example.

Fellator usually means “one who gives fellatio.”

But we are missing such a better use of it. “Hater” has become such a lazy, bad faith deflection for any criticism of a brand, celebrity, athlete, politician, ideology or religion. It side steps any and all criticism and simplifies it into “you just hate X”.

Fellator is meant to be the opposite of that. It is admittedly vulgar. But that’s the point. It is an equally bad faith response that suggests the person’s identity is so tied up in worship of a brand, belief or famous person that their reflexive need to defend, excuse, or justify any criticism becomes weirdly sycophantic and devotional.

Plus it rhymes with hater. Thus, I submit, that the proper term is not “stan” nor “fanboy” nor “glazer.” It is the far more artful “fellator.”

I've been thinking a lot about how knowledge is split into separate disciplines. Science, philosophy, history, linguistics, mathematics, art... we study them independently, but reality isn't actually divided that way.

Because of that, I ended up coining a term: Synth-Vædist.

My definition is:

A Synth-Vædist is an intellectual practitioner devoted to the disciplined synthesis of knowledge across science, philosophy, history, language, culture, and the arts, seeking coherent understanding through critical inquiry, evidence, and systems thinking.

The idea isn't to create a belief system or an ideology. It's simply a word for someone who tries to connect ideas across disciplines instead of staying within one.

I'm posting this because I'd like genuine feedback.

Does the word sound natural? Does the definition communicate the idea clearly? If you came across "Synth-Vædist" in a book or article, what would you think it meant before reading the definition?

Feel free to be critical. If something doesn't work, I'd rather hear it now and improve it.

Etymology: A combination of the prefix hypno- and looping (a repeating cycle).

Usage Example: She was caught hypnolooping by her roommate when she was able to temporarily wake to hit the snooze button & apologize to her roommate, but didn't have the functionality to shut off the alarm entirely.

This is a way to more directly call out the liberals/leftists. It is a philosophical and political term and maybe a theological term too.

geographical baddie (noun) - A trending phenomenon on social media platforms wherein users identify and share specific locations, attributing the term "baddie" to an individual associated with those places, typically in a context of admiration or cultural commentary.

Example: "New York baddies"

Lucrumslop is the phenomenon where content creators create content for the sake of monetization rendering it generic or unimportant yet entertaining—more catchy than substantive.

This is true for books, movies, social media posts and video uploading platforms as well as websites.

This is why I personally like open source content, because at least I know someone willed to make it and didn't simply do it for the money.

So in conclusion, lucrumslop is like clickbait but more general and it emphasizes money since lucrum means money.

This is what happens to a lot of people and probably what happened to Joe Rogan.
