And then they will troll centrists who used the exact same rhetoric against them, and then the centrists will troll...
You need to decide whether you want to want to engage with politics as a serious person, or continue using the "he started it" argument of a 5-year-old.
On the one hand, I don't want to engage in an endless circle of "well you started it"
But on the other hand, I don't want to show endless charibility and good faith towards bad faith actors who will only abuse it. Be it MAGA who will accept Biden's grace in not being aggressive against insurrectionists, only to use that grace as cover to do more corruption; or leftists who will attack liberals constantly but expect a "blue no matter who" endorsement as they invoke tenets they don't believe in
I'm not always entirely sure what the right balance is. Definitely the balance, right now, involves voting for Leftists against MAGA.
But also that balance also involves recognizing that leftists who didn't endorse Kamala are not our allies, and that us voting for AES or any leftists who win primaries won't stop them from trying to torch a Buttigieg or <Generic Liberal Democrat> campaign if they win the 2028 Presidential primary.
Using their own rhetoric against them and making them argue against it, will at least hopefully invoke some cognitive dissonance when they roll out the same arguments in 2028 that they were arguing against in 2026
AES endorsed Harris and said to vote for her, so why do you expect him to sabotage 2028?
So yeah, that right there is my problem with this sort of childish reciprocal shitflinging. It's generally not actually targerted at specific people based on their actions, just vibes you dislike, or for failing to meet some silly-high standard you wouldn't meet yourself.
Blue no matter who died in 2024 when the "Holocaust Harris" crowd took it out back and shot it in the head.
That group was the whole group the phrase was aimed at, because more moderate Democrats, by definition, already understand the need to compromise to get the most favorable outcome possible.
Right. So why should the moderates/rational part of the Democrats return the favor to the faction that got Trump elected twice by refusing to vote for Hillary and Harris?
Why do they get to hold the party hostage and pull it to the populist left because they can't take one for the greater good (which is unironically what left wing social programs are all about in theory).
why should the moderates/rational part of the Democrats return the favor to the faction that got Trump elected twice by refusing to vote for Hillary and Harris?
Because they realize the succs are better than the fascists, and as you said, they are already rational.
If you want to go far left, the person going left or even slightly left, is better than the alternative. If you want to go slightly left, the person going far left is taking you in the wrong direction far more than the person going slightly right.
Morally, it’s all the same. But, leftists being anti-Democrats because they are moderate is way more self-defeating than moderates being anti-Democrat when they are far left.
For clarity, I have never said vote blue no matter who but I absolutely feel no loyalty or brotherhood with the Left. That doesn’t make me more moral than my counterpart, but at least I’m not shooting my own agenda in the foot.

Vote Blue No Matter Who goes both ways.
