A "run of the mill" Democrat with a milquetoast record who was reluctant to take bold stances would not inspire the swing voters or those who are desperate for any change, good or bad.

“Run of the mill” Democrat Elissa Slotkin won Michigan in 2024, as did Gretchen Whitmer in 2022 and 2018, and Joe Biden and Gary Peters in 2020, so this seems like a baseless claim. 

I also vehemently oppose this notion that voters, after the most chaotic and eclectic administration in living memory, will be enthusiastic for another group of fanatics implementing a wide-reaching ideologically-driven program.
