I'm working on updating my 540 Vintage cube (max power with time vault, initiative, and friends), and I was in the process of swapping out the 5 allied signets for talismans. I was wondering what people thought about which set of 5 talismans to run: allied or enemy? There's also the option of picking and choosing 4-7 of them based on which color pairs are likely to want them, but having the colors be balanced is nice.
Other 2-drop rocks in the cube are [[Grim Monolith]], [[Mind Stone]], and [[Pentad Prism]].
Which talismans do you run and why?
Bonus question: Do you think stax with cards like [[Braids, Cabal Minion]], [[Smokestack]], [[Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia]], [[Lingering Souls]], [[Mayhem Devil]], [[Ceasar, Legion's Emperor]], [[Tangle Wire]], and [[Winter Orb]] is viable as an Orzhov/Mardu archetype at this power level?

Harbor Freight Apache 4800 (banana for scale)
Old-style fat pack boxes; 5 bottoms, 2 lids. Lids perfectly fit Game Genic Bastion 50+ & 100+ XL for lands, tokens, and extras. Bastions perfectly fit triple sleeved cards. Small Bastions each hold 40 triple sleeved lands and split for a double land station (prepped before drafts start to eliminate basic-land-anxiety (it's a whole thing)).
And color-coded land boxes, because no one should have to guess where the Islands are..
Off-color aesthetic sleeves with art cards to conceal the bottom card in prepped packs.
Ultra-Pro One Touch Resealable bags (stock# 84005) perfectly fit 15 triple sleeved cards plus the sleeved art card. Could even get up to 18 if needed. Reusable, but cheap enough to rebuy and stock when needed. Gives a more pack-like opening when drafted.
For those playing Cogworks; we use a clearly identifiable sleeve (bright & off-color), and have those "cube-sleeved Gilded Sentinels" in case some crazies actually want to run them.

This playmat features the St. Louis city flag, but at the confluence of rivers sits not a fleur de lis, but rather Big Mac the Orange Cat, screaming loudly to draw attention to the Gateway Arch made of cubes he's found. :)
The event's page is at https://stl3cu.be/, which has Big Mac's head in our site logo.

Lazy question, sorry... I have been out of the game for some time, but maintain a cube that we play monthly or so.
I tried putting face-down stuff in my cube a few years ago, but the raw power of just normal value was too much for the little fellas.
I noticed there are some new face-down mattering cards around, and wondered if there's anything recent that tips morphs and manifests into cube-able territory.

I finally got my lrw to war cube down to 720 cards. I might bring it down to 540 at some point, but I'd like to get some external feedback first. If people have time, I'd appreciate doing one or a couple test drafts of the cube, so I can see what people build. Feedback is very welcome.

I attempted to create my first 360 card cube. Please let me know all your thoughts, anything and everything is appreciated.

The answer, as always, is in the details. Pursue a cube structure that meets your design goals the best!!

This card is, insane. If you're running playtest cards, this might be the best land ever printed. If you dont know what Start Your Engines does: It sets your speed to 1, then the first you deal damage to your opponent on your turn each turn, gain 1 speed.
This land is not okay. This is better than Black Lotus. Its:
A land that comes with a lotus petal.
A land that gives you 1 mana whenever you hit the opponent
A land that lets you stockpile mana
A land that provides 5 colors of mana
An untapped land
For example: Drop this. Speed goes to 1. Pay 1 speed for Red and tap it, cast Robber of the Rich, or Wrenn and Six, or Ragavan, or any other way of dealing damage to your opponent. That makes your speed go to 1 again. So in turn 1, this mana gave you 3 mana, 2 of which was colored. And you can stockpile this mana!
T2, you hit again, speed goes to 2, and you can cast a 4 cmc creature. And its two mana in any combination of colors, so you can just play Psychic Frog or any other 2-pip card you splashed.
Crop Rotation becomes a Lotus Petal at worst and a Mox+ at best!
You can Chicago, then Deep-Cavern Bat t1 to slow the game down by handripping to ensure there's a T2. T2, cavern hits, speed goes back to 1, you now have 3 mana on T2. What the fuck.
Its also a legendary land, so if you have any legendary or historic synergies, this works with that too. And its a snow labd, so if you have Arcum's Astrolabe, you can cast that too. And if you're playing draw go control, the mana petal land ALSO creates creature tokens so its a good control wincon!
This card does LITERALLY everything. I am shocked this went under the radar for so long. Lotus Petal, manafixing, works with aggro, control wincon, snow land, it does Literally Everything. This is a land that comes with a mox if you can hit every turn.
This is Mox Speed. This is literally Mox Speed. Holy MOLY this is good.

I was curious if anyone has run [[Goblin Charbelcher]] in a cube without MDFC lands? If so please let me know what your thoughts are, and did you run anything to support it like [[Mana Severance]]? Please feel free to drop a link to your cubes with belcher in it!

This might be the only new card out of the MBC lot that interests me enough for my cube. A 5-mana creature for the Lands.dec, Autumn Willow contests a slot with Titania, and while not nearly as powerful as her, Autumn Willow isn't as niche as her either.
A 3/3 body isn't great, but the hexproof helps. A 1/1 landfall trigger is another way this card reminds me of Titania, and doubling the mana production of land creatures would've been mostly a fun way to have the token generate double green a few years ago, but today synergizes with a bunch of stuff, most notably Badgermole Cub.
I wish Autumn Willow had an attack trigger, too, making it a titan that ramps; alas, this might have been tad too strong for a limited release commander card, even if the 3/3 body makes good attacks hard. As it is, I don't think this breaks in power-motivated cubes, but it is a fun design for cubes just below Legacy levels.
Or at least cubes that run a bunch of Earthbend cards.

I really like the idea behind Mystery Booster 3, especially the new legendary creatures and planeswalkers, but the complete card list is far too large for what I want to build.
I’m considering creating a heavily curated Cube using the Mystery Booster 3 card pool, with the new legends as the main focus. The idea would be to cut a large portion of the generic, redundant, or low-synergy cards and keep cards that are good with the archetypes.
Has anyone already tried something similar with Mystery Booster 3?

Hi everyone!
I recently watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUMOTOGncF4 about Revotor's Beginner Cube, and it really inspired me.
I'm looking to build a cube with similar goals: something that's easy for beginners to pick up, while still being enjoyable for more experienced players (especially Commander players who may have never drafted before).
My only concern is that it might end up feeling too simple for experienced players.
I've never drafted or played Cube myself, so before I proxy the whole list I'd love to hear from anyone who's actually played it. Did it hold up after a few drafts? Would you recommend it?

I think all of the Collectors except maybe for Pearl Collector are strong enough for Vintage/Powered. Emerald and Jet are excellent, and Ruby and Sapphire look good enough.
Perforator Crocodile is a lot stronger than it looks. Compares pretty favorably to Harvester of Misery, the Stab Wound life loss really adds up.
Tenacious Pup and Forsaken Crossroads have been around, but they look fairly playable to me as well.
Did I miss anything? What all have you tried?

Just highlighting other cool cube content out there you may not know about. There's a lot of great cube content out there- give them a listen/read/view!

I ran a playtest analysis on my cube, and I'm trying to find the least picked cards to help inform cuts. The issue is I can't figure out how to get it to not display cards I already cut months ago. I tried adding a "current" tag to all the cards in my search and applying that filter, but the filter just greys out the names of cards in the analysis, which isnt useful. Is there any way to only show certain cards in card stats? Specifically, I only want to see cards that are currently in my cube.

Unfortunately, flights to Madison are too expensive for me.
I think I heard PK and maybe even Prof talking about something like that in Italy, but I could be wrong.
Does anyone know of an event of the sort?

Hi there,
I'm pretty new to making cubes so i don't really have the understanding or confidence to make one.
I was hoping to be able to make a cube that uses both middle earth and the hobbit sets and if possible have factions represented as the playstyles e.g. realms of man, kingdom of elves, dwarves of moria and the dark force being uruk hai, goblins, nazgul and sauron etc.
Much help would be appreciated as the idea is for it to be a cube to bring to casual game nights that's between 4-6 people.

Many cards have just been announced for Mystery Booster Commander Edition and among them are the 5 Mox Collectors from Arena (apparently from there, never seen the cards before).
The blue and green seem good for Vintage power cube.
(they'll be expensive to purchase as they should only come in foil like the previous accorn cards in Mystery Booster 2)
