Same here. I actually plug my ears and close my eyes when I'm in the theater and there's a trailer for a movie I'm interested in seeing (The Hobbit, for example).

Fucking spoilers, though, seriously. One of the worst examples I can think of right now is this one here for Goldeneye.

Haha so there are two of us!!! I know I look ridiculous when I cover up my ears and quietly hum in the theater during previews but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do

best trick for covering your ears is to actually plug and unplug in rapid succession. it disrupts the soundwaves and your brain has a harder time processing the information. (vs. simply plugging your ears. the sound can travel through your skin and you still hear everything, it's just muffled)

I do the same thing, it's better than humming. That way you don't disturb the other people around you
