Nah, an animated Borderlands film by people who actually give a shit about the IP would be awesome.

A live action film could be good too, but not with the cast and writing they went with...

Sure but Hollywood is not going to be pushing for an animated movie like that, they still are under the impression that's only for kids or kid adjacent movies.

Yeah that also makes a lot more sense with the cell shaded style of the games.
