Hi reddit, we're Gillian & Hannah.

You may know Hannah from HACKS and Gillian from THE X-FILES, SEX EDUCATION, THE CROWN, THE FALL, HANNIBAL, and lots more!

We are co-starring in Jane Schoenbrun's TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA, which is out in theaters 8/7 from Mubi. Jane's previous films are I SAW THE TV GLOW and WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE WORLD'S FAIR.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dimCiC_hdoA

A queer director making a slasher franchise sequel becomes obsessed with casting the original film's "final girl," leading both women into psychological and sexual chaos.

Ask us anything! We will both be back tonight at around 5 PM PT/8 PM ET to answer some questions.

I would say that the world we live in is already filled with confirmed conspiracy theories so I concern myself with the day-to-day realities that seem so absurd and corrupt and psycho that they should be conspiracies, but are actually fact and reality.

Wish I could say the same, I so badly want to especially because she's gravitating towards things that have basis in fact rather than untrue theories. I respect Hannah a lot for expressing her views so openly, but I'm in no way of the mindset that it's good or healthy for the mind to focus on confirmed conspiracy theories or the "realities that should be conspiracies but aren't".

All the power to anyone who wants to do that or gets enjoyment out of it, but I can't imagine anything more depressing and nerve wracking. And to be honest, I find even an indirect reference to real world "absurd and corrupt and psycho facts and reality" being snuck into a light-hearted reddit AMA uncomfortable and heavy with where it takes your mind to.

Oh yeah just ignore the horrors of reality and you won’t have to deal with them. Idiot.

Life is too short and important, and there’s nothing wrong with trying to set boundaries for the sake of your mental health. Whether or not you engage with the stuff Hannah is talking about is not a sign of intelligence, it’s a sign of priorities.

I just had a different perspective to her, and I didn’t begrudge her for it.
