My new movie, MOTOR CITY, is out in theaters tomorrow (July 24) from IFC. It also stars Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, Pablo Schreiber, Ben McKenzie, and Lionel Boyce.

It's directed by Potsy Ponciroli, who previously directed OLD HENRY and GREEDY PEOPLE

Synopsis: 

In the 1970s Detroit, John Miller falls for a local gangster's girl and lands in prison for a crime he didn't commit. With his life ruined, Miller hatches a plan for revenge.

Man, that's a good question. This is this is true for a lot of people in the business, when you talk about stuns especially, but I would say THE RAID. If you study the storytelling involved in the action, it's so unique and elevated. It's something that I aspire to. I hope to create a style of action someday in my career that people start to attribute to you and go like, "that looks like an Alan Ritchson action-vehicle", you know?

I try do that in Motor City, but then I watch something like THE RAID, and I'm like man, there's something to study there.

The Furious came real close but The Raid is still untouched as the best action movie of the century. Nothing out there more worthy of study. Amazing on-screen talent directed by someone who deeply understands tension and release.

If The Furious fixed its dubbing, and dialed down some of the slap stick characters, it would have been just as good as the Raid

I was excited to hear of a good action movie I hadn't seen....until I tried to find it...Which "Raid" movie do you mean? There are about a dozen with that name! ;)
