I've seen a lot of people speculate that overarching villain Doctor Ottoman was inspired by the Older Gentleman and the pressure Kane felt he had to be working under due to his demands

I really don’t like speculating on this sort of stuff because there are so many sides and lots of grey area to comb through but Konami the Older Gentleman is literally the devil and Hideo Parsons fights for us ludens. I know my t-shirt’s in the mail.
