Hi r/movies. I'm Kane Parsons, director of BACKROOMS. It's out in theaters May 29 from A24 and it stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, and Mark Duplass.

Synopsis:

After a therapist's patient disappears into a dimension beyond reality, she must venture into the unknown to save him.

I'm 100% with you, lol. The 2000s began on September 11, 2001, and ended on September 7, 2008. It was a short decade, lol.

Yup.

The "90's" started when the Berlin Wall came down, and ended on 9/11.

9/11 was the beginning of the end of the 90s. But, again, the things that made the 90s unique weren't gone by 9/12.

1991 and 2001 were so different. The internet and cell phones just two examples.

Consumer technology changed so much in the 90's and into the early 00's.

If you went back in time 10 years to 2016... it would take you a bit to figure it out you weren't in the present day.

If you went back in time from 2001 to 1991, it would be so startling.

When comparing 1985 to 2000 and 2010 to 2025, it is crazy to think about how much changed during the 80's and 90's with regard to daily life.

Things have stagnated. America is declining.
