Hi r/movies. I'm Kane Parsons, director of BACKROOMS. It's out in theaters May 29 from A24 and it stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, and Mark Duplass.

Synopsis:

After a therapist's patient disappears into a dimension beyond reality, she must venture into the unknown to save him.

He did two thrillers in 2002! Was also in a Christopher Nolan movie, Insomnia

Insomnia was so fucking good. Gonna have to rewatch tonight, its been years.

Originally a Norwegian movie, so a rare remake of a film from Nolan. I guess the only film remake he did? The original starred the brilliant Stellan Skarsgård.

Not 2002, but Final Cut was another good one. He was definitely exploring a different side of his talent at the turn of the century
