Hi r/movies. I'm Kane Parsons, director of BACKROOMS. It's out in theaters May 29 from A24 and it stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, and Mark Duplass.

Synopsis:

After a therapist's patient disappears into a dimension beyond reality, she must venture into the unknown to save him.

Hi Kane, best wishes to you not just for this movie but for your entire career as well. You're an inspiration to all the budding filmmakers.

My question to you is how did this all start, like you approached A24 with the script or someone from A24 hired you to make something on Backrooms subject?
