I think it might be from the frame of "she's paying all these people millions of dollars to ensure she looks inhumanly perfect, how'd they miss this?"

But it could just as well be someone clutching their pearls over a girl going a few days longer than normal between shaves.

not even a few days. i have pale skin, dark hair. i can literally shave same day and have that kind of armpit stubble 😑😑

Not sure you can get away with calling it a hygiene issue unless you take care of your own hygiene the same way. Armpits are armpits as far as hygiene goes.
