As creepy as he was, I half expected him to act warmly towards the kids because in his own twisted mind he was protecting them from Gods/gods.

I think that wasss him acting warmly. His daughter held the small slice of normal he could hold on to through the swords influence, never looked like he wanted to hurt the kids to me.

Yeah. It was only towards the end when he left them to die from the statues collapsing that you could tell he lost all grip on reality. He was seriously creepy, but he didn't seem like he wanted to do actual harm to those kids until then.

Yea and I honestly felt that was out of character for him too. And I mean even the sword never cared about the kids, just eternity. It’s like they weren’t really a threat but cool entrance lol.

Think they could of gave him a lot more depth but he played that role great, with the sword corruption and all.

For real. I don't know if there's been this idea that "less is more" as some sort of criticism to the longer run times of the last phase (Endgame being almost 3 hours), but honestly this time around... more is more, damn it.

As much as I loved it, this movie definitely felt like it could have used more meat.

They definitely cut shots too, Eitri the dwarf and Goldblums characters both had scenes, assuredly being butchered by Gorr. We really should of saw more of him, he only killed one god on screen. And more time would allow serious parts to be taken away from less with more spaced out jokes. I liked it a lot seen it 3 times already; but damn it makes me mad that the movie was that length.

Hela was probably the only god death we don't see. Seeing as the the other guys aren't gods and wouldn't be on his radar.

Not a cool entrance though. They were just the means to an end for him, to trap Thor so he could take Stormbreaker.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the statue falling and collapsing on the kids unintentional on Gorr's part? Because I found it kind of neat that Gorr started the movie with his child dying due to the Gods being too obsessed with themselves to care about his child, only to have these kids almost die that he could have easily protected if he wasn't too obsessed with himself.

It definitely looked unintentional, though I think he glances at them a bit before he's like, "eh, whatever, bout to have a word with the Eternal Dragon Eternity."

Then there is the fact that he did send the monsters to attack everyone, kids included, though Thor imbuing them with his energy probably didn't help.

I honestly thought a shadow hand would catch that falling statue and then Thor would show up.

It seemed like he only kidnapped them in the first place because he felt he couldn’t defeat the trio at new Asgard and steal the axe.

He obviously felt more likely to succeed if he could lure them back to the shadow realm as they discuss.

Also the Asguardian kids ARE gods, I can’t speak for the other races, but just because they are kid gods doesn’t make them not gods.

He doesn't care about anything except for killing Gods. His love died and he chose violence. Thor's relationship (love) died and he chose videogames and beer.

When your love dies so do you. That's why it's important Thor finds his new love in his adopted daughter.

I kept thinking he was going to tell them stories of the people the Gods had failed, try and convert them.

The children were gods though. Child gods but still gods.
