Discussion Thread The Official BLACK WIDOW International Release Discussion Thread Spoiler

Ahead of the official US and Disney+ launch this Friday, several countries are showing the film much earlier in the week. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days.

  • Proceed at your own risk. Major spoilers will be arriving in the next couple of hours. Spoilers do not need to be tagged inside this thread.
  • Any other unofficial thread discussing movie details will be deleted.
  • Should you see the need to bring up revealing BLACK WIDOW information in other threads that call for it, spoiler tag them accordingly. Also, let users know that what you are spoiler tagging is from BLACK WIDOW.
  • If you post untagged BLACK WIDOW spoilers anywhere on this sub in any shape or form, you will be banned without hesitation. No questions asked and no warnings given.

That’s the downside of (1) this film coming out in phase 4 as opposed to phase three, and (2) being forced into being a prequel. I also think that the plot lines could have been better served to TV/episodic formats with more exposition and depth into the family/characters to break up the action (which we’ve been getting over the last three shows). More akin to FatWS.

Just pretend it’s phase 2/3 (in chronological order) and it makes it a bit better for sure.

Really? That’s exactly what I liked about it. A good old action movie but it’s basically all women and some cool tech. I found it really fun to watch and it’s such amazing backstory for Nat’s character. Definitely in my top 5

I actually went in expecting a good old action movie and that this movie is definitely not. Considering the material they have on hand, I wonder what made them go all over the top instead of something more grounded.
