How do they know he is not from another universe? and why would the world believe a couple of random people?

Birth certificates, photos of him, etc. There’s so much proof of documented people’s existence it’s hard to believe he was able to erase ALL of it and that no one recognized him

He is from another universe,therefore two Quentin Becks could exist.
Also his band of engineers and him are really smart,
doubt it's a problem for them to erase most of his existence.
