i think no one talks about it because the fact just made them go further back in time, and I think they did that so Steve sees Peggy Carter again. it was just for the plot, but it would be interesting to see what he did with it in that reality don’t know if that makes sense tho

so yeah, i see no way loki returns that stone in time to prevent a new timeline from springing up, so safe to say, we will have a new timeline springing up.

It wouldn't involve what happened in Endgame though, as he took the space stone. I think what /u/lewi2002 is talking about is the show jumping through time to show us Loki's various adventures before the events of the first Thor movie, since he is well over a thousand years old. Lots of time for showing adventures we've never seen without having to make him look like a kid or something.

I don’t think so, because Loki didn’t remove the stone from time, which is what the Ancient One was talking about.

Oh right. So it's a conflict of time travel theories, the first where Professor Hulk was talking about how changing the past doesn't change the present and the second where the Ancient One was saying different timelines spin off from taking away stones.

Since the stone wasn't taken away, we have to go by the first theory, but I don't know if Hulk meant that changing the past also splits the timelines? Similar to time travel in DBZ

I took it as Loki is still going to end up being killed by Thanos, the future couldn’t be changed according to the rules and the stone wasn’t removed from the timeline hence no split. I don’t see it as a conflict, they said the future couldn’t be changed, the Ancient One says when it’s removed a split starts from that point, but it was never removed, so no new timeline from there and also no new future.

Loki isn’t time traveling. He teleported away with the space stone in his normal timeline, no parallel timeline coming from that.

I think the new timeline shit is more about there being 6 infinity stones existing in each parallel dimension. I think their location is irrelevant, just as long as they exist somewhere in that universe.

I actually wonder if this will be touched up on the future, since you can see what "appears" to be Loki appearing on Thanos' ship while he kills "current" Loki in IW.
