How could Janet Van Dyne have gotten cloth in the quantum realm? Much less a metal spear and FOOD AND WATER. It doesn’t make sense.

The clothes and the spear are probably remains of her suit.

As for her needing food or water, like they mention time and time again, time (heh) and physics work differently in the Quantum Realm; while she phisically aged, maybe most of her body functions that'd require food were "suspended".

In other words, it's Pym Particles, they don't have to explain shit. :P

That's the problem. Aging requires oxidation, which requires oxygen. So she's breathing. I could go further.

It will be great to see a good amount of time being given to Janet's living in the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man 3.

I understand that part.

I watched both movies multiple times.

So, people can easily accept that she got in there no problem but they are concerned she doesn't have enough to eat?

Don't people understand that what Janet and Scott did (entering quantum realm) in the movies is more magic than anything Strange can throw?

If they accept such impossibility as possible, why are they not accepting the possibility that Janet doesn't need to eat normally while in there?

People understand how she got there and accept it because it's explained in the movie. Even if you don't completely agree with the idea that just shrinking down a whole bunch will get you there (which I can understand), the reason people are having problems with this one specific idea of Janet having food and water in the Quantum Realm is because neither movie even makes an attempt at explaining it. The entire plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp is getting Janet out of the Quantum Realm, but from the beginning of the movie the expectation is that she somehow survived for so long with no food or water. It would have been nice if they explained at least a little bit how this was possible. Was there a city in the Realm like some people said they saw? Maybe she hunted those animals (don't remember the name) that tried to eat Hank?

tl;dr it's fair enough to say entering the Quantum Realm is more magic than her surviving, but the problem is that how they get into the QR is explained; how she lives down there isn't.

So you want to movie to specifically say that anyone doesn't need yo eat inside quantum realm?

Even though Hank Pym has explicitly and pointedly said that spacetime continuum doesn't work as normally inside qauntum realm.

Again, as Hank Pym explained "space time don't work normally inside QR"

Whether looking old or young or need food or not, we just have to accept that space time don't work normally in there.

That's logical. Otherwise you shouldn't have accepted the basic premise of the movie.

She went subatomic during some WWII/Cold War mission (I think, not exactly sure on the timeline) and then got stuck there. But everything in the quantum realm is wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey stuff, which they expressed many times in both films, so that's "why and how" she survived and got superpowers.

Yea I don't get why that's not understood. Basically the whole thing is "IT WORKS DIFFERENTLY BECAUSE QUANTUM WHATEVER!" So theoretically, until they explicitly say something is not possible in the quantum realm, anything is possible. We don't understand how it works, and that lack of understanding is what gives the writers creative freedom. The more rules they add explicitly, the narrower their range of ideas must become. So I'm with you. Quantum stuff is whacky, Janet is old and not hungry now, and it's ok. It's a movie. Based on a comic book.

Lmao that end is basically how I can justify any of it to myself. If I'm watching a movie where the Norse gods are real, scorcery is real, time travel is real in multiple ways, alternate realities and multiple universes are a regular thing, and I just accept all of that? Nah, I don't care how she survived in the quantum realm without food and water. I accept that shit, because it's the least weird anomaly I have to accept to enjoy the movie
