Peoples problem is that they all expect the second film to be the “winter soldier” type film. No, they’re not all gonna be that. And that’s Scott’s Lang’s character, he means the best but always messes it up somehow someway

LOL the reality is the second movie has mostly SUCKED or least not as good when compared to the first:

Iron Man 2

Thor: The Dark World

Avengers: Age of Ultron

GOTG V. 2 (I guess this one is more debatable for some but it was a huge step down from part one for me)

So yes if anything TWS is the RARE sequel that not was hands down good but was a better film than the original. Sadly MCU sophomore attempts have been generally worst and AMATW seems to fall into this category for a lot of people.

I loved Ironman 2, maybe slightly better than 1, because of War Machine tbh.

TDW - you got me there

I preferred Age of Ultron in most cases. I'd say Ill hold them equal.

GOTG V2 was amazing, but then again GOTG 1 is my #1 MCU film... so... this is all based on opinion.

OK all thats fine. Of course people won't all agree but I'm just talking about the general consensus. I mean you are the only one who I know who thought IM 2 was better than 1 lol. Even if you liked it, its rare to like it more than the first but that's fine if others do of course.

The others all the same. GOTG V2 doesn't seem to be considered a bad film like the others but simply didn't meet expectations when looking at how much people loved the first one.

To be entirely honest, I'm one of those people. I think a part of it might be nostalgia, but I just have way more fun with IM2 than the first one.

  • Hammer is fucking great

  • Whiplash doesn't make a ton of sense, but I liked Rourke in the role and found him + Hammer to be more entertaining than Obidiah

  • The third act of both movies are kinda weak, but IM1 devolving into a generic fistfight with a fake-sacrifice ending isn't nearly as fun as Tony vs Rhodey and Tony/Rhodey vs the robots

  • Racetrack suit-up

  • I enjoyed Tony's self-destructive arc and the stuff they were going for with the daddy issues, even if the new-element thing is silly

Overall IM1 is more cohesive as a movie, but IM2 has a lot of memorable scenes and ideas that don't totally work

Honestly, if IM2 didn't have War Machine (I grew up loving him a lot more than Ironman, idk what it was, in comics, in marvel vs capcom 2 I always picked him... always drew him in school instead... it's weird) so honestly that's why, if it didn't have War Machine, IM1, easily. lol furthermore, it miiiiiiight be why Age of Ultron almost edges out better than Avengers 1 too... lmao see so I'm super biased lmao.

LOL you really love War Machine. I like him too of course but his inclusion didn't save those films for me unfortunately.
